Earl Grey Jasmine Bud Blend Health Benefits
Rich in Antioxidants
Black tea and jasmine buds have polyphenols which might protect the body from oxidative stress and encourage healthy ageing.
Energy and Focus
Black tea base gives a natural caffeine kick to sharpen concentration and alertness without the heaviness of coffee.
Digestive Comfort
Bergamot and jasmine are both traditionally drunk after meals to aid digestion and soothe the stomach.
Mood Balance
Traditionally jasmine is considered a nerve soother, and the citrus notes of bergamot are uplifting - a combination that might restore equilibrium after a frenzied day.
They are based on traditional and general tea research *. Not to be taken as medical advice.
Taste Profile
That blend gives a multi-level flavour experience. First sip - bright citrus bergamot followed by floral jasmine. This has structure and depth to it with a black tea base that does not overpower the flavours. This makes a smooth, aromatic cup with mildly perfumed notes - refreshing in the morning, calm in the evening and elegant for afternoon tea.
Brewing Instructions
Use 1 teaspoon of blend per 250ml cup.
Bring water to 90-95degC just off the boil.
Take 3-4 minutes to steep - for a balanced brew!
Strain, serve hot or cold, with a slice of lemon or honey.
Tip: shorten steeping time For a lighter, floral infusion. For more citrus, brew for one minute longer.
Ways to Enjoy
Morning Refreshment: A bright, energising replacement for plain black tea.
Afternoon Indulgence - with pastries, cakes or fruit tarts.
Evening Ritual - A pretty floral finish for winding down.
Cautionary Notes
It contains caffeine; avoid late-night consumption if you are sensitive.
Not suited for people with citrus allergies because of bergamot oil.
Like all black teas, high consumption may cause mild upset stomach or decrease iron absorption when taken during meals.
Pregnancy or breastfeeding women and/or those on medication should consult with their doctor before normal use.
